Rain, playdough, and a cold

Rain, rain go away

Please come back another day!

For those who are not from around here...it has been raining since last night...and I mean raining, pouring, solid rain! So the kids and I decided to take this rain and turn it into a "crafty day"!!! We made Kool-Ade Play dough...grape, of course! (I MUST give props to Beth for inspiring me to read her blog, which inspired me to create this blog...which is where I "stole" this idea...so, thanks Beth!). We had a ball making...and enjoying the yummy grape scent...of this play dough!

As far as the "cold" part of our day...poor Carson woke up at 3:30AM (and stayed up) with a terrible cold...little man struggled through the day but still had lots of smiles, along with some "crankies"!

Where did summer go???

Tad's back in school, Carson started gymnastics, and Courtlyn starts school this Thursday and dance the following Tuesday...goodbye summer...hello craziness! goodbye staying up late and it not mattering...hello getting up early (which is normal!) but now having to BE SOMEWHERE on time...goodbye Tad as you leave for work (you are dearly missed)...hello to a routine with the kiddos and me...goodbye to once-a-week trips to Dutch Wonderland...hello to days that will be more structured...goodbye to a summer filled with lots of wonderful family time, fun with friends, and tons of sunshine...and hello to a new school year where there will be more opportunities for making memories together!!!
